What: Picnic in the Park

Where: Riverside Park

When: Tuesday, July 12 starting at 6:00pm.

Why: To support the Make Art Happen initiative that helps children in our community get better access to the arts!

In 2019, YAA began our Make Art Happen initiative with an instrument drive. We have collected, repaired, and donated 30 instruments to the local school district band program. This initial program will continue to grow, but it's time to expand our reach in the community.

All proceeds from the picnic will support the next phase of Make Art Happen! YAA will be raising money this evening to provide scholarships for local youth to attend arts camps in our community and beyond. Additionally we will be giving away quality art supplies each month to kids in our community so they can create art at home!

What else: Enjoy yard games, be a part of a community art project, and stay for the 8:00pm concert featuring the South Dakota National Guard's Mission Essential Brass!

Raffle tickets for a picnic quilt are available for purchase at the Tuesday night summer concert series, the Lemonade Stand, and at G.A.R. Hall.

There will also be a silent auction on the night of the event.

Tickets will be available starting May 31st.

Tickets include a meal catered by River's Edge and a bottle of water.

Adults - $20/meal -  choice of wrap, fresh fruit salad with citrus dressing drizzle, summer vegetable pasta salad, and lemon bar for dessert.

Kids - $10/meal - choice of half wrap, fresh fruit salad with citrus dressing drizzle, and lemon bar for dessert.
