Kids Art Fest

In 1991, Yankton Area Arts created a free Kids Art Festival for area youth. This annual event is sponsored by nearly a dozen local businesses and non-profit organizations who put together free craft projects for the kids. Held in the Riverside Park picnic shelters, each participating sponsor sets up a station where kids create a make-and-take art project. Children are encouraged to participate at each station and complete there "Art Explorer Passport". Completed passports are entered for prize drawings!

Held on the last Tuesday in May every year, this family-friendly event is FREE to children of all ages and abilities. All craft projects are especially designed for elementary age children.

Food vendors are available and the park is completely handicap accessible.
