ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have always found a need to "dabble" in arts and crafts ranging from textiles to paint mediums or whatever else I found that I felt was interesting. I find that it clears my head and helps me feel productive and fulfilled. Three years ago I finally tried watercolor and found that I love it. I am self taught with a couple of sessions with more accomplished painters. I've found that the only way to improve is to just keep painting. It is good for the soul.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My paintings are usually of pictures that I like and want to put them into watercolor. I have especially enjoyed painting from pics of my friends' and families' pets and animals in general. I enjoy the challenge of trying to capture the personality that I see in the provided picture. I also like painting scenes from travels that my husband and I have had. I think dabbling in the arts is important to develop a well rounded person. Nobody should be intimidated in trying to find their art form. It's a journey.
