About the event
As an artist for over 40 years, I have had many questions about the meaning, value, and origins of modern art. I will trace this origin to philosophers, Kant, Hegel and Marx, and how the Impressionists manifested these values.
We will see the variety of abstract and non-objective art that flourished in the 20th century as well as the institutions that promoted and sponsored it.
Lastly we will discuss how artists have become dependent on photography and what is considered "cheating" when copying from photos or using AI.
